Honey Gathering Retreat, Private Retreat Location, Sebastopol, CA
August 23, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - August 26, 2018 @ 6:00 pm$450
The retreat will be held at a private retreat space owned by some friends of the organizers. This land fits the Baul spirit of our retreat by providing a rural location, simple but lovely grounds, low-cost camping, and close access to alternative lodging for those who don’t wish to camp onsite.
The retreat will begin at 7pm on Thursday evening, Aug. 23 with a Parvathy Baul concert at a venue in town near the retreat location. The retreat will continue all day and into the evening Friday and Saturday the 24th and 25th. Sunday the 26th will be a full day of practice and we will conclude with an early dinner at 6:00pm on Sunday the 26th. Our time together will include yoga, meditation, talks, and of course movement and song. Please come prepared to learn, move, sing, contemplate, dialogue, and play.
Cost for the concert, three full days of teaching, and delicious vegetarian meals is $450 [this does not include lodging, which is $10 per night extra]. Early registration (before July 20) is $375. Seniors, ashram residents, full-time students, and full-time professional artists are $375 at any time. All the Payment options are listed below –
Full – Three days (includes Thursday evening concert): $450 regular or $375 for students / full-time artists / seniors
Two days (includes Thursday evening concert): $325 regular or $175 for students / full-time artists / seniors

- Camping Onsite – Camping for up to 30 people is available onsite for an additional $10 per day (you must bring your own tent, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and any other needed camping gear). You can set up your tent on Thursday afternoon before the concert. If you would like to reserve a spot at the retreat location to camp, please indicate that on your registration form at the link below.
- Nearby accommodations – If you are not camping onsite, you need to make other lodging arrangements for yourself. The retreat location is near Occidental and Sebastopol, both of which have many Air B&B options, VRBO options, and some hotels and Bed and Breakfasts at a range of prices. The three most prominent close hotels can be found here: Occidental Hotel, Fairfield Inn Sebastopol, Sebastopol Inn (Downtown Sebastopol with walking distance to groceries, etc)
If you have questions regarding local accommodations, please contact Monnet Zubieta at her house-line (no texts!) at 1-(707) 824-1993.
We will provide two hearty lacto-vegetarian meals (brunch and dinner) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including non-dairy options, plus snacks. If you have other dietary needs (gluten-free, allergies, etc.), please bring food to supplement what is provided. Participants are responsible for their own dinner on Thursday evening.
Travel by Flight
If you will be traveling from out of town, the closest airport is Santa Rosa, which is about 25 minutes drive. It’s a small regional airport and will probably be more expensive than larger options: San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento are all about 90 minutes drive away, depending on traffic. Traffic can be bad and cause the travel time to vary.
Travel by Car
If you will be arriving by car, the retreat center is between Sebastopol and Occidental, not far from Highway 101.
